waiter

O blog “You’re the boss” (”Você é o Chefe”, do New York Times), sobre “a arte de administrar um pequeno negócio”, publicou uma lista das 100 coisas que o staff de um restaurante deve, ou não, fazer. Parte 1 e Parte 2. Em inglês. (Dica da Gisela Gueiros).

All those rules sounds like the steps to reach the Zen Mastering.
Staffs should also write a book of how to be a good customer, mainly on big cities where nobody knows from where we come from and what we do in life, it must be hard to carry customers problems in the back, staffs generally feel guilty about anything wrong that can happen during the table service, doesn`t matter who is sat there.Bosses also tends to think that way.
Important to know what is yours and theirs…but staffs can`t also make customers feel unconfortable by knowing their “neurosis”, when high or drugged, for example…What to do?Can your recognise those states of mood?!
The point is that may be people ask too much from the person who is serving them, although I consider service an important part of the meal.People also have the strong idea that they are paying for your service,I`d say but not for yourself.
What average people don`t know is that there are much misery hidden behind that misen scene…I mean there are people and people, of course.
What about when staffs become clients?I feel a a little unconfortable sometimes, when you are know by working on —-company feel like carring its flag…in Medium/small cities that seems to be a kind of transgression of rules that can cause embarassments.Prudence?!After all you can be judged by your habbits outside your work, we all do that to each other.
I would highly suggest that those staff members search for leisure, sports, massage, dating, therapies and live their own life… with mind cleared is easier to work with that rounds of clients.Prepare yourself that`s not an easy life…that`s for me too.
    My point of view..sorry..
